About our Data Center Facility
The data center is housed in a blast-resistant concrete structure with 18 inch thick steel-reinforced walls. The building has been redeveloped to accommodate the specific needs of its telecommunications and data communications clientele. The facility provides the following:
Power Availability
Power is a hallmark of the space. Residing in Phoenix, AZ with a stable climate and no earthquakes, hurricanes, tornados, ice storms, blizzards and without mega-city issues, the data center offers the most reliable power available:
- Facility fed with diverse grid architecture. In-building diversity. 2 x 3,000 Amp (480v) A/C feeds to data center. Additional details available upon request.
- Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) for A/C feeds.
- On Site Back-Up Power Generation. Two (2) Cummins Onan diesel generators, each with 1.5Mw. On-site fuel storage for extended run requirement.
- Exterior generator taps for remote powering
- Lucent installed grounding system
- 55 year record at site without unscheduled power outage
Robust Security
The facility features biometric, physical and other access control devices, as well as manned security and video surveillance. DesignR1 maintains secure 24/7/365 access to the data center. The data center features concrete walls, floors and ceilings, conforming to the strictest physical security standards.
Controlled Environment
The environment is temperature and particulate controlled, features sixteen 30 ton Liebert HVAC units arrayed in redundant paths, and has 18 foot ceiling heights for superior heat loss and airflow.
Advanced Life, Fire and Safety Systems
Advanced fire detection and suppression, including state-of-the-art automated pre-action fire protection and life safety systems.
Scalable Internet Connectivity
Internet access is fully redundant, with direct access to the backbones of multiple Tier-1 Carriers. It is scalable, highly redundant and cost effective Internet access. The facility offers access to over 20 carriers and continually manages carriers to provide the highest quality and lowest cost. The use of paid transit to the Internet results in the reliable delivery of data to users and allows us to route around carrier and Internet bottle-necks. Multiple technologies, including BGP-4 ensure that your packets are delivered to their destination.
